The customer value network for the SAP Manufacturing solution is pleased to announce the Summit on the Lean Enterprise, a customer networking conference designed to facilitate the sharing of information specifically related to lean manufacturing and lean enterprise best practices.

At this summit, you will have an opportunity to learn from industry thought leaders about how to sustain lean business improvements. You'll also hear how other SAP customers have deployed lean practices in conjunction with their SAP software to improve their overall business performance.

Day 1 of this event includes four concurrent workshops and round table discussions followed by a networking reception and dinner.

Workshop 1: Making Material Flow – In this workshop, participants will transform a batch and queue manufacturing line into a lean flow line using demand flow technology. This is a hands-on workshop where participants actually man the production line and measure the results of the lean transformation. Workshop hosted by DemandPoint.

Workshop 2: Advanced Lean Fulfillment – In this hands-on workshop, participants will simulate a supply chain and learn how to match fulfillment capability to demand based on interval design and planning methods. Workshop hosted by DemandPoint Inc.

Workshop 3: Lean Accounting – A senior consultant from BMA Inc. will teach the participants how to align their financial business controls with their lean business processes and how to eliminate non-value-added transactions in manufacturing and accounting. Workshop hosted by BMA.  PCS Consulting, Inc. will demonstrate the SAP Lean Accounting solution.

Workshop 4: SAP MII Administration and Configuration – Product experts from the
SAP Labs network and RTS Consulting Inc. will lead a technical education workshop on the SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP MII) application. Users will look under the hood to see how SAP MII quickly connects to plant-based applications and creates views of data for dashboards and reports. Get a firsthand view of the SAP MII business logic used for integrating applications to the SAP ERP application, transforming data, creating calculations, and triggering alerts. This workshop is an excellent way to understand how SAP MII delivers fast time to value through its unique approach to composite application development.

All workshops will run concurrently on the afternoon of July 14 and will have limited seating available, so we are asking you to register for only one of the workshops

Day 2 is packed full of thought-provoking keynote addresses and customer-delivered presentations in three concurrent tracks.  Customer presenters include:

  • Northrop Grumman Corp.
  • Deere & Company
  • Medtronic Inc.
  • E-Z-GO (Textron)
  • IGT
  • And more...

We hope we will see you there.
